On Tuesday 27th February the Focused Care Staff team came together to celebrate our first anniversary at a training day in Central Manchester.

The full team of 30 Focused Care Practitioners and additional support staff had the chance to meet and catch up, update their Basic Life Support skills, share cases and learn from others. Thanks also to Dr Ruth Thompson who delivered training on Mental Health.

Our directors Michael Oglesby, Dr John Patterson and Dr Laura Neilson were also on hand to bring updates and inspiration, and blow out the candle on the Birthday cake.

Many thanks to all our supporters over the first year, we look forward to many more to come.

Focused Care has won an award at the inaugural Greater Manchester General Practice Nurse Awards 2018.

Attended by our staff who are also Registered Nurses the award recognised the work of Focused Care in Oldham and its innovative approach to Transforming Services in Primary Care.

The Ceremony was set up to recognise the excellent work done by Primary Care teams across Greater Manchester. More information about the awards can be found here
